HERE'S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL BATHROOM.
This tub to shower conversion is in Tuscancy Bronze
This project consisted of the following:
Deconstruction and preparation of this bathroom.
Remove the shower faucet trim pieces.
Remove the tiled tub enclosure and expose the stud walls.
Remove the existing tub/shower faucet.
Reconstruction phase was as follows:
Access the foundation and modify drain system to install shower drain.
Frame in and reinforce shower stalls walls.
Frame in the shampoo cubby shelf to be tiled in later .
Install 2” x 12” reinforcements between studs to support grab bars later.
Make all modifications to the water supply lines needed.
Installation of the new shower faucet.
Install backer board and tape and float with thin-set mortar.
Construction of the cinder block shower bench.
Installation of 12"x 12" Tuscany porcelain tile on all shower walls.
Installation of 5 6"x6" amber inserted deco tiles.
Install 3" wide stone feature strips in Tuscany and amber.
Trim tile color is Noce tumbled travertine in 2” x 4” caps and feature strips.
Tile recess area in Tuscany and feature strips.
Install 2” x 2” anti-slip Tuscany mosaic tile on shower floor.
Grout out all tile work in Sandstone.
Install 2 24" bronze grab bars , towel bar, and robe hooks.
Installation of the faucet trim and shower head in bronze.
Install the shower door in bronze. This shower glass enclosure consists of a
pivot shower door and a fixed panel. The glass is has a factory treatment to
resist water stains and to be maintenance-free. It also compliments the tile design.
Installation of the bathroom floor tile was done and a tile base.
The vanity cabinet and the powder room cabinet were removed and replaced
with custom built cabinets. The upgrade was the installation of a countertop tower cabinet.
The countertops were replaced with Rusticnation granite countertop.
The vanity faucet was also replaced.
This is a low entry shower. Being a low entry shower stall simply mean that the height which the customer's foot must be raised to enter the shower is only 2 inches.
